The HLA-DRB1 kit includes an amplification and sequencing strategy which enables amplification and sequencing of HLA-DRB1 exons 2 and 3.

 

For convenience, a codon 86–specific sequencing primer R8 is included. This primer may either be routinely used for sequencing or used when needed after the initial sequencing with the regular sequencing primers.

First commercially available SBT HLA-G typing kit

 

SBTexcellerator® HLA-G brings fast and easy high resolution HLA-G Sequencing-Based Typing (SBT) within reach.

 

The SBTexcellerator® HLA-G kit is a novel HLA-G assay that allows high level of sequencing coverage and genotyping resolution. HLA-G is found to play a role in immune tolerance in pregnancy and is expressed in the placenta.

 

More research is being done to further explore its role in other mechanisms and diseases like HIV and tumor development.

SBTexcellerator® strategy for high-resolution HLA-G genotyping. The forward and reverse amplification primers (red arrows) amplify exon 1 up to exon 6 in one single long-range PCR.
